When I First Saw You

When I first saw you
my smile lit up like
the rolling hills
covered with outrageous orange
poppies
Popping wildflowers
Mad and uncontrollable
Intoxicating, drunk on their color
Like popcorn in my heart
The bowl overflowing
I reach for another bowl to catch
the love that keeps growing
flying out over the sunny hills
As gliders and Hawks float
effortlessly on warm currents
I can't wait to see you smile again
