Here is what I am working on right now...
This is a fairly large canvas, 2 feet x 2.5 feet...
I spent an hour and 1/2 today, "blocking out the colors". This is where I lay down the basic background colors and shapes for the scene. This is a local scene in San Anselmo. The Montague Hall is part of the
I loved the convertible bug in front of the building, as it gave a great color contrast to the stone building, and a nice size reference. Palm trees and the bug give it the California place setting.
Tonight I will go in and add more detail after the painting has dried for several hours.
